Mujo Dedic [Bosnian: Mujo Dedić, Bosnian Cyrillic: Мујо Дедић] (4 June 1916 – 22 July 2019) was a Bosnian centenarian who was the oldest known living man in Bosnia and Herzegovina at the time of his death.
Biography[]
Halil Sarajlić was born in the village of Podvelež, Mostar, Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, Austria-Hungary (now Bosnia and Herzegovina), on 4 June 1916. He graduated from Tito's first non-commissioned officer school. The school lasted six months. Then he went to Dubrovnik, Croatia, to become the commander of a mortar company. Since he was the only child of his parents, his father applied to be demobilized as the breadwinner of the family, after which he was discharged home.
On 2 February 2019, following the death of 104-year-old Halil Sarajlić, he became the oldest known living man in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Halil Sarajlić died in Mostar, Herzegovina-Neretva Canton, Bosnia and Herzegovina, on 22 July 2019, at the age of 103 years, 48 days. Following his death, then 103-year-old Hasan Ćorić became the oldest known living man in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
