Mustafa Dzafic [Bosnian; Mustafa Džafić] (5 June 1918 – 10 September 2023) was a Bosnian centenarian who was the oldest known living man in Bosnia and Herzegovina at the time of his death.
Biography[]
Mustafa Dzafic was born in the village of Donja Ljubija, Prijedor, Austria-Hungary (present-day Bosnia and Herzegovina) on 5 June 1918. He started working when he was only 14 years old, transporting stone with his first neighbor on a horse-drawn cart. Later, he worked in the mine for 24 years, and for ten years he paid, and finally he got a pension.
At the age of 100, he was still engaged in agriculture, raising cattle and chopping wood.
In August 2021, he received the covid-19 vaccine at the age of 103.
He became the oldest known living man in Bosnia and Herzegovina, following the death of 105-year-old Mijo Martinovic on 12 November 2022.
Mustafa Dzafic died in the village of Donja Ljubija, Prijedor, Bosnia and Herzegovina on 10 September 2023 at the age of 105 years, 97 days.
