Mykola Derevlyanyk (also known as Miklós Derevljanik) (22 October 1917 - 14 Oct 2024) was a Hungarian-born Ukrainian semi-supercentenarian, who was the oldest living man in Ukraine.
Biography[]
Mykola Derevlyanyk was born in the town of Kaba, Austria-Hungary, presently located in Hajdú-Bihar County, Hungary on 22 October 1917, and currently died in the city of Uzhgorod, Zakarpattia Oblast, Ukraine where he moved in 1921. He says the secret of his longevity is to not be afraid of anything. His daughter says that longevity is not particularly common in their family, and that her father is the first person in the family to reach their 100th birthday. He worked at the post office for over 46 years, and was the chief cashier of the central branch of the city post office.
