Myrtle Estelle Hill (née Morrow; 12 November 1906 – 17 June 2017) was an American supercentenarian whose age was validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG) in 2024.
Biography[]
Myrtle Hill was born in College Park, Georgia, USA on 12 November 1906, the daughter of Dr John Morrow (1876–1936), a dentist in Union City and College Park. She had three siblings: Floy Morrow Ferguson, John (J.C.) Morrow, and Sevola Morrow Fessenden (all deceased).
She married Sanford Daniel Hill on 24 December 1932. They were divorced in 1960. She lived in College Park, Union City, and East Point until the age of 100. For the past ten years she resided with her daughter Sandra Deis in Newnan, Georgia. She was a longtime member of East Point First Baptist Church.
Myrtle Hill died in Newnan, Georgia, USA on 17 June 2017 at the age of 110 years, 217 days. She is survived by one daughter Sandra Hill Deis, one grandson Kendall Shawn Ellis and four great-grandchildren Kari, Erin, Owen, and Olivia Ellis.
