Naomi Leola Frost (née Borland) (31 August 1907 – 11 February 2018) was an American supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). She was one of the oldest known people in Missouri, USA at the time of her death in February 2018.
Biography
Naomi Frost was born Naomi Leola Borland in Missouri, USA, on 31 August 1907. Her parents were Joseph Anderson Borland and Mary Elizabeth (née Cumpton) BorlandShe was the fourth of seven children. Her siblings were Clyde (1898-1981), Virgil (1900-1973), Olin (1903-1986), Doretta (1911-1997), Floyd (1913-2002) and Margaret (1918-1979).
On 14 May 1936, Naomi married Francis Leroy Frost in Bates, Missouri, and had two children with him: Gene (born 1937) and a son who died not long after birth on 17 February 1940. On 30 October 1948, Naomi's father Joseph passed away aged 77. Mary, her mother, passed away on 25 June 1969, two months shy of her 96th birthday.
Francis Frost passed away on 3 September 1997, shortly after his 92nd birthday. By this time, Naomi was living in Raytown, Missouri. She celebrated her 110th birthday in 2017 with a few of her relatives.
Naomi Frost passed away in Raytown, Missouri, USA, on 11 February 2018, at the age of 110 years, 164 days. She was survived by her son Gene, four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
