Natalia Villanueva Ruiz (born 24 February 1911) is a Colombian supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). She's currently the oldest (known) living woman in the metropolitan area of Medellin, and the second oldest person (after Efrain Antonio Rios Garcia).
Biography
Villanueva was born in Raquira, Boyaca, Colombia, on 24 February 1911. Her parents were Heleodoro Villanueva and Umbelina Ruiz. She only had one sibling, a sister named Lucinda. She had one nephew, Roman, who passed away at age 40. She never married nor had children. She worked as an elementary school teacher. Later in her life, she moved to Bogota and became an Haute Couture seamstress, a job in which she had a lot of success. In her late years, a cousin took her to live in the city of Medellin.
At the age of 106, she moved to a nursing home. A report for her was made that year, and she was reported as being "impressive", as she was extremely independent for her age. She lives in the nursing home of Hogar Benjamin Correa. She celebrated her 110th birthday on 24 February 2021.
She currently lives in Copacabana, Antioquia, Colombia, at the age of 113 years, 54 days.
