Nkhono Mamohlapisi Mabakole (18 May 1896? – fl.10 July 2014) was a Lesothoan longevity claimant whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Nkhono Mamohlapisi Mabakole claimed to be born 18 May 1896 on Liotloaneng, Sebitia Ha Nkutu, Lesotho (then the British colony of Basutoland). She had six children, two were still alive in 2014: one born in 1930, and her daughter born in 1934, Nkhono Mamosiuoa.
Mamohlapisi Mabakole celebrated her claimed 118th birthday in June 2014. At the time, she was living with her 80-year-old daughter. In July 2014, she was visited by Liabiloe Ramoholi, the wife of Lesotho's Prime Minister Tom Thabane.
Nkhono Mamohlapisi Mabakole was last reported to be alive in Sebitia Ha Nkutu, Lesotho on 10 July 2014, at the age of 118 years and 53 days. If her age would be true, she could have been oldest known woman ever from Lesotho.
