Odette Ambuhler [French: Ambühler] (née Lefeuvre; 17 September 1901 – 31 December 2012) was a French supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). At the time of her death, she was the seventh-oldest living person in France.

Biography[]

Odette Ambuhler was born in Le Mans, Sarthe, Pays de la Loire, France on 17 September 1901. In the early 1920s, she met Gustave Ambuhler, who came from Switzerland. They married on 21 March 1925, and had five children. Gustave died in 1931.

Ambuhler came back in Le Mans, until moving in the nursing home Les Foyers de la Fuie in Laigne-en-Belin on 28 April 2003. On her 110th birthday in 2011, she still joked a lot. Her age was verified by Luc Le Lay, and validated by the GRG on 26 May 2012.

Odette Ambuhler died in Laigne-en-Belin, Sarthe, Pays de la Loire, France around 9 a.m. on 31 December 2012, at the age of 111 years, 105 days.
