Olga Luella Mortrude (6 September 1896 – 25 January 2007) was an American supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Mortrude was born in Luverne, Minnesota, USA on 6 September 1896. She was a lifelong teacher, beginning at Rock County schools in Minnesota for three years prior to college. She attended Winona State Teacher's College and graduated in 1922 with a kindergarten teaching degree. In 1938, she received her bachelor's degree from Northern College, Aberdeen, and furthered her education by taking courses through several other colleges. She taught kindergarten at Huron for one year and then moved to Aberdeen, where she taught for 40 years at the Adams School. She also taught at several other schools.
Mortrude died in Aurora Brule Nursing Home in White Lake, South Dakota, USA on 25 January 2007 at the age of 110 years, 141 days.
