Olga Ivanovna Shavrova (Russian: Ольга Ивановна Шаврова) (2 July 1910 – September 2021) was a Russian supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography
Shavrova was born in Krasnoyarsk, Krasnoyarsk Krai, Russia, on 2 July 1910. She was born in a wealthy family; her mother was from a merchant family and her father was a chain store manager. She lived with her mother in Novosibirsk during the the Russian Civil War. In 1930, she started attending the Tomsk State Medical Institute. By the age of 25, she became a psychiatrist. During World War II and the Great Patriotic War, she lived with her family in Tomsk, Tomsk Oblast, where she continued to work in the healthcare sector. After the wars ended, she was awarded the medal "For Valiant Labour in the Great Patriotic War 1941–1945" and the Medal "For Labour Valour". She had four children: Vladimir, Natalya, Marina and Elena.
At the age of 61, she moved to Zarechny, Penza Oblast. At the age of 110, she had seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She was cared for by her daughter and granddaughter since circa 2010.
Shavrova died in Zarechny, Penza Oblast, Russia in late September 2021 at the age of at least 111 years, 76 days.
