Biography[]

Olindina Juvencio Atanasio da Silva was born on 25 May 1906. She was also known as "Dina".

In September 2020, Juvencio was diagnosed with Covid-19 and spent eight days in the "Maternidade Frei Damiao" hospital. On 8 September, she was discharged from the hospital after recovering from the disease. This made her the oldest known survivor of the disease until Lucile Randon, then 116, of France recovered from the disease in January 2021. At that same time, she received the vaccine against COVID-19.

Juvencio died of sepsis in Joao Pessoa, Paraiba, Brazil, on 20 February 2021, at the age of 114 years, 271 days. She was previously a resident of the ASPAN (Portuguese: Associação Promocional do Ancião). After her death, the ASPAN reported that Juvencio had a chronic renal failure and Alzheimer's disease. She was buried at the "Cemiterio do Cristo Redentor" in Joao Pessoa.
