Paula Marie Baumgartner [German: Baumgärtner] (née Breder; 16 August 1881 – 24 February 1993) was a validated German supercentenarian who was the oldest living person in Germany.

Biography

Paula Baumgartner was born in Witten, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany on 16 August 1881. She became the oldest living person in Germany after the passing of 109-year old Elfried Libbert on 30 October 1989, and held that title during more than three years.

Paula Baumgartner died in Weinheim, Baden-Wuerttemberg, Germany on 24 February 1993, at the age of 111 years, 192 days. At the time of her death, she was the oldest person who ever lived in Germany, having broken the longevity record of Katharina Braun.
