Paula Ludwig (28 November 1910 – 14 January 2021) was a German supercentenarian whose age was validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG) in 2022.
Biography[]
Paula Ludwig was born on 28 November 1910 in Sterkrade, a district of Oberhausen, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, where she also spent her childhood. As a young woman, she followed an education as a laboratory assistant, which was a rare education for a woman at the time. One of her passions was horse riding and was even allowed to ride police horses after she moved to Ingolstadt. In 1961, she married a German-American man and lived with him in Munich until his death.
On her 110th birthday in 2020, Ludwig was still active and very interested in the things going on in the world. She was fond of literature and classical music, especially piano music. She also painted and drew herself.
Paula Ludwig died on 14 January 2021 in Munich, Bavaria, Germany at the age of 110 years, 47 days.
