Pauline Eugenie Chabanny (née Gauthier; 20 August 1881 – 13 August 1994) was a French supercentenarian whose age has been validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Chabanny was born as Pauline Eugenie Gauthier in Loiret, Centre-Val de Loire, France, on 20 August 1881. She married a man with the surname Chabanny. After the death of Felicite Jandia on 7 December 1992, she became the second-oldest known person in France behind Jeanne Calment. Her age claim was validated by Jean-Marie Robine.
Chabanny died in Puy-de-Dome, Auvergne-Rhone-Alpes, on 13 August 1994 at the age of 112 years, 358 days. She was among the top 10 oldest validated people in the world at the time of her death.
