Pauline Hapes (née Plankenhorn; 15 June 1913 - 27 July 2025) was an American supercentenarian whose age has been validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). She was the oldest known living person in the U.S. state of Oregon at the time of her death.
Biography[]
Pauline Hapes was born as Rena Pauline Plankenhorn on 15 June 1913 in Garden City, Kansas to parents Edgar Plankenhurt and Anna Brown. She married her husband Thomas Edward Hapes (1908-1961) on 1 Oct 1931 in Jetmore, Kansas, with whom she had 3 children. By 1979, she had moved to Medford, Oregon. By 2007, she had moved to Shady Cove, Oregon.
Hapes died in Shady Cove, Oregon, USA on 27 July 2025 at the age of 112 years, 42 days.
