Pearl Probul Cornelsen (née Reimer; 25 December 1900 – 11 February 2013) was an American supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Pearl Cornelsen was born in Jansen, Nebraska, USA on 25 December 1900. Her parents were Nicholas Eidse Reimer and Liebe (née Probull) Reimer. She had 10 siblings. Her father died in 1948 at the age of 82 and her mother died in 1926 at the age of 62.
She married Henry Cornelsen on 15 March 1925. The couple did not have any children. She was widowed in 1965.
Cornelsen died in Reedley, California, USA on 11 February 2013 at the age of 112 years, 48 days.
Recognition[]
At the time of her death, Cornelsen was the second-oldest known living person in the U.S. state of California, behind Soledad Mexia.
Cornelsen's age was verified by Mark Muir, Oliver Trim, and Waclaw Jan Kroczek, and validated by the GRG on 29 May 2015.
