Pearlie Williams (18 June 1910 – c.19 September 2021) was an American supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). At the time of her death, she was the oldest known living person in the U.S. state of Tennessee.

Biography[]

Pearlie Williams was born in the USA on 18 June 1910. In June 2020, she celebrated her 110th birthday and became a supercentenarian.

Following the death of Brunette Nelms on 4 May 2021, Williams became the oldest known living person in the U.S. state of Tennessee.

Family and Death[]

At the time of her death, Williams had an unreported amount of children, and at least one paternal grandson, Guy Williams.

Williams's eldest daughter died around August 2021, and was buried not long after during that same month. Later that same month, Williams and her family were affected by the remnants of Hurricane Ida, bringing them significant effects which led to them having a hard time recovering from the aftermath, as well as more stress for Williams and her family as they were still mourning the death of her eldest daughter.

Pearlie Williams died in Memphis, Tennessee, USA around 19 September 2021 at the age of 111 years, c.93 days, approximately a month after the death of her eldest daughter. Following her death, Mary Harris became the oldest known living person in the U.S. state of Tennessee.
