Pedro Antonio Rodrigues (Portuguese: António; 27 November/12 December 1910? - 8 May 2024), known as "Pé Pipi", was a Cape Verdean supercentenarian claimant to the oldest living man title whose age is currently unvalidated by the Guinness World Records (GWR).
Biography[]
Pedro Antonio Rodrigues claimed to be born in Pinhao, Ribeira Grande, Cape Verde on 27 November 1910 but celebrates his birthday on 12 December, according to the date on his birth certificate. He lived in Sal for around 30 years, and then returned to his homeland. But, at the age of 107, he started living with a son in Varzinha, Ribeira da Torre. He had seven children.
In December 2020, he celebrated his claimed 110th birthday. At the time, he was great-great-grandfather. In December 2022, when he supposedly turned 112, his oldest living child was reportedly 86 years old, while his long-dead oldest son would have been 97 years old, leading to suspicion of identity theft between the much younger Pedro Antonio Rodrigues, born in 1925 and his older brother born in 1910.
Pedro Antonio Rodrigues died in Varzinha, Ribeira da Torre, Santo Antao, Cape Verde on 8 May 2024 at the claimed age of 113 years, 148 days or 113 years, 163 days. At the time of his death, he lived with his daughter-in-law Maria Victoria.
