Petronila Barbosa Vela (16 September 1908 – 13 January 2019) was a Spanish supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Petronila Barbosa Vela was born in Chiclana de la Frontera, Andalusia, Spain on 16 September 1908. She was the third of eleven siblings, and began to work at the age of twelve. By 2019, she had been living with her niece for 40 years.
Barbosa Vela died in Chiclana de la Frontera, Andalusia, Spain on 13 January 2019 at the age of 110 years, 119 days. She was reported to be the oldest person in Andalusia at the time of her death.
