Phan Thi Dao [Vietnamese: Phan Thị Đạo] (née Hai; 16 June 1906? – fl.20 February 2020) was a Vietnamese supercentenarian claimant whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).

Biography[]

Phan Thi Dao claimed to have been born in Thanh Tan, French Indochina (now Vo Liet, Thanh Chuong District, Nghe An Province, Vietnam) on 16 June 1906, according to her ID card (delivered in 1972). She was the second of two sisters.

Dao married in the commune of Thanh Chi, and had two sons: Anonymous (1925-1991) and Anonymous (1929-2012). Later, her husband died. She remarried in 1948 and had a last son, Hoang Van Suu [Vietnamese: Hoàng Văn Sửu] (born 1949). An hard-working woman, she was still working in the fields as a centenarian

Her youngest daughter-in-law, Tran Thi Huong [Vietnamese: Trần Thị Hương], said that her mother-in-law has rarely been hospitalized: only for eye surgery and falls. In 2012, Dao broke her arm, but managed to recover.

In February 2020, Dao was reported to be hard of hearing, although clear-minded. At the time, she had great-great-grandchildren (the oldest aged 8).

Dao was last known to be alive on 20 February 2020 at the claimed age of 113 years, 249 days. At that time, she lived in 7th hamlet, Thanh Chi, Thanh Chuong District, Nghe An Province, Vietnam.
