Philip Arthur Twibell (9 September 1905 – 6 August 2015) was a British centenarian. He was the oldest living person in Buckinghamshire and the 3rd oldest living man in Britain behind Frank Simes, born 10 July 1905, and Harold Bracher, who was born on 30 November 1904. He is the oldest British male to have not reached the age of 110. At the time of death, he was living in the Swarthmore Care Home, in Gerrards Cross, South Bucks, Buckinghamshire.
Biography[]
He was originally from Rochdale and worked as an electrical engineer. He drove until the age of 101 and was a keen artist. He had two children, two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He died on 6 August 2015, aged 109 years, 331 days.
His brother, John Askam Twibell, lived to be 106.
