Pilar Yague Sanchez [Spanish: Yagüe Sánchez] (13 October 1912 - Summer 2023) was a Spanish supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Pilar Yague Sanchez was born in Paradinas de San Juan, Salamanca, Castile and Leon, Spain, on 13 October 1912, where she lived for most of her life. She was the third out of seven siblings.
She married her husband Antonio at the age of 42. The couple did not have any children.
In October 2022, she celebrated her 110th birthday and became a supercentenarian. She attributes her longevity to working hard throughout her life. She has more than 20 nephews who are in charge of taking care of her.
Pilar Yague Sanchez died in the summer of 2023 in Santa Marta de Tormes, Salamanca, Castile and Leon, Spain, at the age of 110 years, 252+ days. She was the fourth-oldest known living person in Castile and Leon, after Avelina Lorenzo Berian, Angeles de la Fuente Campo, and Atilana Garcia Holgado.
