Biography[]

Placida Maria do Livramento was born in Piaui, Brazil, on 3 October 1895 (claimed 5 October). She claimed that the secret to her long life was not to rush things, not to meet death, to let things happen, not anticipate the facts or sufferings before bad things happen, and when they happen to have intelligence, to trespass them and know how to overcome them. She said that her favourite food was mango.

Placida Maria do Livramento died in Barras, Piaui, Brazil, on 24 October 2009, at the age of 114 years, 21 days (claimed 114 years, 19 days). Her age was verified by Stefan Maglov, and validated by the LAS in 2020. The validation was later accepted by LongeviQuest (LQ).
