Radivoje Stevanovic [Serbian: Радивоје Стевановић] (14 December 1914 – 20 June 2022) was a Serbian centenarian who was the oldest known living man in Serbia at the time of his death.

Biography[]

Radivoje Stevanovic was born in Resnik, Kragujevac, Serbia on 14 December 1914. At the end of the 1930s, he moved to Belgrade. He was married four times in his life, his first three wives died before 1998, while his last wife, 32 years younger, was still alive in December 2004, when the last report on him was made. After retirement, he lived in his house in the municipality of Zvezdara, Belgrade, Serbia.

At the age of 85, in 1999 he attracted the attention of the media because of his statements. At the time, he claimed that he had changed more than 100 women for his sexual needs in his life. At the time, he claimed that at the age of 85, he has sex with his wife, who is 32 years his junior, at least five times a week. Five years later, in December 2004, at the age of 90, he claimed he only had sex twice a week.

In December 2004, for the newspaper "Glas Javnosti", when asked by a journalist what is the secret of his longevity and vitality, he answered, regular sex, a life without alcohol and cigarettes. He also claimed that sex in his 80s and 90s extended his life life in about 10 years.

After he turned 90, he never appeared in public again. The last time he was confirmed alive was a few days after his 90th birthday, so it was not known for sure if he is still alive or not, or if he no longer lives in Serbia, 17 years later, in June 2022. It has been confirmed that Radivoje Stevanovic died in his house on Zvezdara, Belgrade as the oldest living man in Serbia.

He became the oldest known living man in Serbia, following the death of 106-year-old Stepan Dobricanovic on 20 June 2020. Following the death of 107-year-old Ilona Kovacs on 6 June 2022, he became the last known living person in Serbia born in 1914, as well as the second oldest known living person in Serbia, behind Tamara Krutikov.

Stevanovic died in Belgrade, Serbia on 20 June 2022 at the age of 107 years, 188 days. He was buried on 22 June 2022 at the Zbeg cemetery in Belgrade. Following the his death, then 107-year-old Simo Ivosevic from Belgrade, became the oldest known living man in Serbia.
