Radusa Ivanovic [Montenegrin: Радуша Ивановић] (née: Jovanovic; 15 June 1919 – 31 August 2024) was a Montenegrin centenarian who was the oldest living person in Montenegro at the time of her death. She was also member of the partisan movement and a participant in the national liberation struggle of the people of Yugoslavia during World War II.

Biography[]

Radusa Ivanovic was born in the village of Mosori, Danilovgrad, Montenegro on 15 June 1919. She had one sister and four brothers. Her brother Petar Jovanovic died in the battle on Sutjeska as a participant of the National liberation struggle of the people of Yugoslavia. Radusa actively participated in the National liberation struggle of the people of Yugoslavia during the world war II, among other things in the battle of Pljevlja. Immediately after the end of the war, she was briefly employed at the Titograd tobacco factory, after which she devoted herself to housekeeping.

She married Petar Ivanovic and with him she had two daughters, of whom she later had two grandchildren.

In June 2019, she celebrated her 100th birthday and became a centenarian.

She became the oldest known living person in Montenegro, following the death of 105-year-old Danica Borozan on 23 June 2023.

Radusa Ivanovic died in the suburbanneighborhood of Vranici, Podgorica, Montenegro at the age of 105 years, 77 days. She was the last surviving Montenegrin born in the decade of the 1910s.
