Raymunda Luzia da Conceicao [Portuguese: Conceição] (born 1 August 1911) is a Brazilian supercentenarian whose age is currently pending validation by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Raymunda Luzia da Conceicao was born in Carangola, Minas Gerais, Brazil on 1 August 1911. She worked as a wash woman in her younger years. At the age of 44 she relocated to Belo Horizonte.
On 1 August 2021, da Conceicao celebrated her 110th birthday and became a supercentenarian.
As of her 112th birthday in 2023, da Conceicao had 16 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 48 great-great-grandchildren. At this time she was able to walk with the help of a cane and lived with her two children, Maria Augusta and Alberto Augusto da Silva.
Raymunda Luzia da Conceicao currently lives in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil at the age of 114 years, 106 days. She is currently the third-oldest living person in Brazil, after Yolanda Beltrao de Azevedo and Beatriz Ferreira Duarte.
