Rhoda Binge (née Cowell; 8 January 1913 – 12 February 2024) was a British supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Rhoda Binge was born as Rhoda Cowell in Lamesley, County Durham, England, United Kingdom, on 8 January 1913 to Andrew and Mary (née Scott) Cowell. In 1936, aged 23, she married Albert Stanley Binge in Brentford, London. The couple were married until Albert's death in 1982 aged 70. They had one daughter, Yvonne, in 1940.
In January 2023, Binge celebrated her 110th birthday and became a supercentenarian.
Rhoda Binge died in Netley, Hampshire, England, UK on 12 February 2024 at the age of 111 years, 35 days.
