Rita Maria da Conceicao [Portuguese: Conceição] (5 March 1905? – 7 May 2022) was a Brazilian longevity claimant.
Biography[]
Rita Maria da Conceicao claimed to have been born in Santa Cruz do Capibaribe, Pernambuco, Brazil on 5 March 1905, the daughter of Maria Aguida da Conceicao.
She married and had two children, the first child died a few days after birth and the second Pedro Jose do Nascimento still living in May 2021. After giving birth to her second child, her husband abandoned her with the baby.
Around 2008, she lost her ability to move after suffering a femur injury. She was also in poor health after contracting chikungunya.
She lived with her son Pedro Jose do Nascimento (aged 61 in May 2021) and her daughter-in-law Josefa Maria do Nascimento.
Rita Maria da Conceicao died in rural Brejo da Madre de Deus, Pernambuco, Brazil on 7 May 2022 at the claimed age of 117 years, 63 days.
