Robert Bourdon (25 March 1906 – 9 March 2016) was a French centenarian who was the oldest living man in France since the death of 110-year-old Roger Gouzy on 13 January 2016.
Biography
Robert Bourdon was born in Issy-les-Moulineaux, Ile-de-France, France on 25 March 1906. His father died when he was 17 years old.
In 1918, he obtained the certificate of primary studies with the classification of 1st of the canton. In 1923, he obtained a diploma in technical engineering from the École supérieure d'électricité (Supélec).
In 1970, he retired and moved to Saint-Etienne-de-Tinee. He was involved in the tourist office and the expansion of the Auron station. In 2016, he moved to Nice.
Robert Bourdon died in Nice, Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur, France on 9 March 2016 at the age of 109 years, 350 days. After his death, Georges Massard became the oldest living man in France.
