Rosa Ines Veloz Ortiz (Spanish: Inés; 11 February 1909 – 12 February 2020) was an Ecuadorian supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Rosa Ines Veloz Ortiz claimed to have been born in Ecuador on 11 February 1909. She married and had six children. She worked as a seamstress to support her children after her husband abandoned her.
In February 2020, she celebrated her 111th birthday with her family and the governor of her province Pedro Pablo Duart paid her a visit. At the time, she had two living children: Humberto (aged 80) and Esmeraldas Choez (aged 77), 25 grandchildren (including Johana and Milton), 12 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Rosa Ines Veloz Ortiz died in Pedro Carbo, Guayas Province, Ecuador on 12 February 2020 at the age of 111 years, 1 day.
