Deacon Rufus Doyle Clansy (27 March 1885 – 17 August 1995) was an American supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Rufus Clansy was born in Centreville, Alabama, USA on 27 March 1885. He married Eleanor "Ella" Banks and had eight children.
He married Melissa Hill in Alabama City, Alabama, USA on 26 October 1939.
He became the oldest known living man in Alabama, following the death of Frederick Frazier on 14 June 1993.
Rufus Clansy died in Vance, Alabama, USA on 17 August 1995 at the age of 110 years, 143 days. He is currently the third-oldest validated man ever who died in the US state of Alabama, behind Frederick Frazier and Hilliard Hudson.
