Ruth Grant (née Siddons; 25 February 1909 – 1 May 2020) was an American supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Ruth Siddons was born to Franklin and Susan Bates Siddons, in Morrisonville (near Plattsburgh), the state of New York, USA, on 25 February 1909. She married Howard Grant and the couple had two children, sons Richard and Robert.
Grant was a graduate of Plattsburgh State University and worked as a teacher in schools across the area and on Long Island, where she recalled taking trips to the ocean with her children and husband. She retired in 1970.
She had been a founding member of the Liberty Volunteer Ambulance Corps.
On 25 February 2019, she celebrated her 110th birthday.
Grant died in Liberty, Sullivan County, New York, USA on 1 May 2020 at the age of 111 years, 66 days.
