Ryoji Shinoda [Ryōji] [Japanese: 篠田錂治] (born 30 November 1914) is a Japanese supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG) and LongeviQuest (LQ). He is currently the oldest known living man in Osaka Prefecture, as well as the fourth-oldest known living man in Japan, after Kiyotaka Mizuno, Hikaru Kato, and Tokuji Tanigaki.
Biography[]
Ryoji Shinoda was born in Gifu Prefecture, Japan on 30 November 1914. He worked at an electric power company for many years.
In September 2023, Shinoda was reported as the oldest living man in Osaka Prefecture.
At the age of 110, Shinoda lived independently until September 2025, where he suffered a fall and was hospitalized. Although he has since recovered, he remains in the hospital, receiving care and support as of today.
Ryoji Shinoda currently lives in Suita City, Osaka Prefecture, Japan at the age of 111 years, 9 days.
