Samuel Chuquimia Murillo (born 15 August 1916) is a Bolivian centenarian who is currently the oldest known living man in Bolivia. He is also the last known surviving Bolivian veteran of the Chaco War.
Biography[]
Samuel Chuquimia Murillo was born in Pacajes, La Paz, Bolivia on 15 August 1916.
Following the death of 108-year-old Jose Alejandro Pradel Loayza on 3 September 2022, he became the last known living ex-combatant to participate in the Chaco War that pitted Bolivia against Paraguay during the years 1932 and 1935.
He became the oldest known living man in Bolivia, following the death of 108-year-old Carlo Pietro De Leonardis on 6 April 2023.
Samuel Chuquimia Murillo currently lives in Pacajes, La Paz, Bolivia at the age of 108 years, 178 days.
