Samuel Chuquimia Murillo (15 August 1916 – 23 June 2025) was a Bolivian centenarian who was the oldest known living man in Bolivia at the time of his death. He was also the last known surviving Bolivian veteran of the Chaco War (1932–1935).

Biography[]

Samuel Chuquimia Murillo was born in Pacajes, La Paz Department, Bolivia, on 15 August 1916.

On 3 September 2022, following the death of 108-year-old Jose Alejandro Pradel Loayza, he became the last known living ex-combatant to participate in the Chaco War that pitted Bolivia against Paraguay during the years 1932 and 1935.

On 6 April 2023, following the death of 108-year-old Carlo Pietro De Leonardis, he became the oldest known living man in Bolivia.

Samuel Chuquimia Murillo died in Pacajes, La Paz Department, Bolivia, on 23 June 2025, at the age of 108 years, 312 days.
