Sarah Alice Davey (née Ellis; 29 April 1894 – 3 July 2004) was a British-Australian supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).

Biography[]

Sarah Davey was born as Sarah Alice Ellis in Wortley, Leeds, West Yorkshire, England, United Kingdom on 29 April 1894 to Alfred Ellis & Mary Brooks. She married Albert Davey in 22 November 1924 and later emigrated to Australia. She had one son Kenneth.

Following the death of Alice Lindsay on 1 July 2004, Davey was believed to be oldest living woman in Australia, a title she would only hold two days.

Sarah Davey died in Pinehaven Nursing Home, Suffolk Park, New South Wales, Australia on 3 July 2004, at the age of 110 years, 65 days. After her death, Myra Nicholson became the oldest living woman in Australia.
