Sarah Wilkins (née Conway; formerly Wargin; 27 March 1899 – 8 August 2009) was an American supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).


Sarah Wilkins was born in Harpers Ferry, Iowa, USA on 27 March 1899. Her parents were Martin Conway and Agnes (née Cota) Conway.

In 1920 she moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota, where she met Harry Wargin, and they were married in 1923. Harry was an Optician. They moved to Chicago, Illinois in 1941 and they lived there until Harry retired in 1967. At that time they moved to New Albin. Harry died in 1972. In 1980 Sarah married Wilbur Wilkins of Decorah. They traveled throughout the United States and many foreign countries and to the islands of the Caribbean. Wilbur died in 2007. She had four children.

Members of her family had also experienced longevity: her mother lived to be 98, her second husband Wilbur Wilkins lived to be 100, her sister Cecilia Delaney lived to be 99, her sister Marcella Strub lived to be 103, her sister Agnes Baum lived to be 92, her aunt Emma Cahalan lived to be 90, her uncle William Leo Cota lived to be 95 and her cousin Sister Catherine Kelly lived to be 102.

Sarah Wilkins died at Thornton Manor Nursing Center, Lansing, Iowa, USA on 8 August 2009 at age 110 years, 134 days. She was survived by three children, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, one sister Marcella Strub, and many step-children, step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, and step-great-great-grandchildren.
