Sayo Shibuya [Japanese: 澁谷サヨ] (17 September 1899 – 10 October 2009) was a Japanese supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Shibuya was born in Makubetsu, Hokkaido Prefecture, Japan, on 17 September 1899. At the time of her death, she lived with her eldest daughter, Nobuko Oku.
Shibuya died in Obihiro, Hokkaido Prefecture, Japan, at 05:02 AM of 10 October 2009, at the age of 110 years, 23 days.
