Sebastião Batista dos Santos (15 March 1902? – 7 August 2025) was a Brazilian longevity claimant, to the "world's oldest person" title, whose age is currently unvalidated by the Guinness World Records (GWR).

Biography[]

Sebastião claims to have been born in Covo, Mangueirinha, Parana, Brazil on 15 March 1902. His parents were Manoel Batista dos Santos and Eugênia Maria de Jesus. He had nine children. He has lived in Coronel Vivida, Paraná, since his childhood. His wife died around 2010.

On 10 February 2021, at the claimed age of 118, he received his first dose of Covid-19 vaccine. He celebrated his claimed 123rd birthday on 15 March 2025.

Sebastiao Batista dos Santos died on 7 August 2025 at the claimed age of 123 years, 145 days in Coronel Vivida, Parana, Brazil after being admitted, sedated, and unconscious, to the city hospital. According to family members, his organs began to fail due to his advanced age.
