Seki Yoshida [Japanese: 吉田セキ] (4 January 1910 – 11 February 2024) was a Japanese supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). At the time of her death, she was the oldest known living person in Ibaraki Prefecture.
Biography[]
Seki Yoshida was born in Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan on 4 January 1910. In January 2020, she celebrated her 110th birthday and became a supercentenarian.
On 25 April 2023, following the death of 113-year-old Shina Seki of Ishioka, Yoshida became the oldest known living person in Ibaraki Prefecture. In June 2023, she was visited by the mayor of Shirosato, Osamu Katono.
Seki Yoshida died in Shirosato, Ibaraki Prefecture, Japan on 11 February 2024 at the age of 114 years, 38 days.
