Selvino Jesus de Oliveira (1 July 1910? – 3 November 2023) was a Brazilian supercentenarian claimant whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG). If his claimed age was true, he would have been the third-oldest known living man in the world at the time of his death, after Juan Vicente Perez Mora and Efrain Antonio Rios Garcia.

Biography[]

Selvino Jesus de Oliveira claimed to have been born in Brazil on 1 July 1910. He has spent his entire life, living in Brazil, and was raised by his grandmother.

He was a fan of bocce ball, and in his younger days, he competed in the sport. In his old agez he still watched bocce ball on television.

In August 2023, at the claimed age of 113, he was reported to still be lucid. He was in good health, although he suffered from age-related hearing loss, and family and friends had to shout to make themselves heard. He spent most of his days in either the living room, or bedroom of the house lived at. He said his secret to a long life was a healthy diet, and not getting married. His favorite foods included, fatty lard, meat, cassava, and beans. He was also reported to incorporate chimarrão, daily in his diet.

Selvino Jesus de Oliveira died in Santa Izabel do Oeste, Parana, Brazil on 3 November 2023, at the claimed age of 113 years, 125 days.

Possible Age Records[]

As of 2023, de Oliveira had an ID card and CPF records, both of which support his claimed age. He also claimed to have records from a former workplace, although these have not yet been verified. His family claimed his original birth records were destroyed, when the registry office where he was registered at caught fire.
