Sergei Grigorievich Kulish (Russian: Сергей Григорьевич Кулиш), also known as Serge Koolish (31 March 1906 – 29 January 2017) was a Ukrainian-born American supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).

Biography[]

Sergei Kulish was born in Donetsk Oblast, Russian Empire (present-day Ukraine), on 31 March 1906. At some point, he married Nadezhda Stefanovna (born 1919). In 1952, he moved in New York City. In 1966, he moved to Brookhaven, Pennsylvania, where he lived for many decades. A mechanical engineer by profession, he worked at several companies before retiring full-time in his fifties—though he continued part-time work for many years afterward.He was a former mechanical engineer and said he survived being a war prisoner in Germany in World War II. He served as an officer in the Russian army during World War II.

Sergei Kulish died in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA, on 29 January 2017, at the age of 110 years, 304 days. He was the first supercentenarian male to die in Pennsylvania.
