Sevasti Alavera [Greek: Σεβαστή Αλαβέρα] (16 January 1913 – 24 May 2021) was a Greek centenarian.

Biography

Sevasti Alavera was born on 16 January 1913 in Antimacheia, Kos, Greece. She was married with Nikos Alaveras in 1938. She had 4 children (3 sons and 1 daughter), 9 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-granchildren. With her husband went to Rhodes, Greece and in 1962 to Syndey, Australia, doing many works. They returned in Antimacheia in the 1970s as pensioners.

Mrs Sevasti was reportedly a good-hearted person with admirable energy, happiness and sharp mind until the end of her life. She participated in many cultural events and associations, she liked dancing and participated even in theatrical performances.

She was also known with the nickname "Krasaina" ("Κρασαΐνα), because of the surname of her father, Dimitris Krassas.
