Shimi Kushiyama (Japanese: 櫛山シミ; 1 March 1909 – 20 March 2021) was a Japanese Supercentenarian whose age is validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).
Biography[]
Kushiyama was born in Japan on 1 March 1909. Following the death of Kikue Tanaka on 15 January 2020, she became the oldest living person in Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan.
Kushiyama died in Satsuma, Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan on 20 March 2021 at the age of 112 years, 19 days. Upon her death, 111-year-old Mitsue Tanobe became the oldest person in Kagoshima Prefecture.
