Shizuno Iwasaki [Japanese: 岩崎シズノ] (1 February 1891 – 3 December 2001) was a validated Japanese supercentenarian.
Biography[]
Shizuno Iwasaki was born in Toyoura (now Shimonoseki), Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan on 1 February 1891.
Following the death of 109-year-old Tsune Kuramoto of Kuka in February 2000, Iwasaki became the oldest known living person in Yamaguchi Prefecture.
In February 2001, Iwasaki celebrated her 110th birthday and became a supercentenarian.
Shizuno Iwasaki died from natural causes at the Kifune-en [Japanese: 貴船園] special nursing home for the elderly in Shimonoseki, Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan on 3 December 2001, at the age of 110 years, 305 days.
