Silveriana "Silveria" Martin Diaz [Spanish: Martín Díaz] (born 20 June 1910) is a Spanish supercentenarian whose age is currently unvalidated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG).

Biography

Silveria Martin Diaz was born in Talavera la Vieja, Extremadura, Spain on 20 June 1910.

She married Jose and had five children: Paco, Ana Maria, Leo, Inve, and Anastasio.

In 1963, when Talavera la Vieja was flooded by the Valdecanas reservoir, she moved to France and Vitoria, but later returned to Extremadura.

At the age of 109, she fell and broke her femur and had to undergo surgery. In September 2019, she had three living children Leo Arroyo (aged 73), Inve (aged 86), and Anastasio (aged 81), 18 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

She became the oldest living Spanish-born person, following the death of 112-year-old Josefa San Roman Mateos on 25 January 2022.

Martin Diaz currently lives in Losar de la Vera, Extremadura, Spain, at the age of 112 years, 49 days. She is currently the oldest known living person in Extremadura, and the second-oldest known living person in Spain, behind Maria Branyas Morera.
