Sime Petrovic [Croatian: Šime Petrović] (1 October 1910 – 23 January 2017) was a Croatian centenarian who was the oldest known living man in Croatia at the time of his death.
Biography[]
Sime Petrovic was born in Zapuntel near city of Zadar, Zadar County, Austria-Hungary (present-day Croatia) on 1 October 1910. He was engaged in agriculture for most of his life, and he drove a tractor until he was 92 years old.
He became the oldest known living man in Croatia following the death of 106-year-old Nikola Barkovic on 4 May 2017.
Petrovic died in Zapuntel, Zadar County, Croatia on 23 January 2017 at the age of 106 years, 144 days. Following his death, then-105-year-old Josip Krsul became the oldest known living man in Croatia.
