Simone Fabre (née Grosbety [French: Grosbéty]; 23 July 1911 – 18 October 2021) was a French supercentenarian whose age was validated by the Gerontology Research Group (GRG) in 2023.

Biography[]

Simone Fabre was born in Mamers, Sarthe, Pays de la Loire, France on 23 July 1911, the daughter of a doctor. Her husband was a dentist in Draguignan, and she worked as his secretary.

In 1983, Fabre moved to Sainte-Maxime. Since 2014, she lives in the nursing home "Les Opalines". In July 2021, she celebrated her 110th birthday with her son, her daughter-in-law, her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren.

Simone Fabre died in Sainte-Maxime, Var, Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur, France on 18 October 2021, at the age of 110 years, 87 days. At the time of her death, she was the second-oldest known living person in Var after Lucile Randon, and the third-oldest known living person in Provence-Alpes-Cote d'Azur, after Lucile Randon and Andre Boite.
