Snaebjoern Gislason [Icelandic: Snæbjörn Gíslason] (born 22 February 1918) is an Icelandic centenarian who is the oldest living man in Iceland.

Biography

Snaebjoern Gislason was born in Litla-Lambhaga, Skilmannahreppur, Borgarfjarðarsýslu (now Hvalfjardarsveit), Iceland on 22 February 1918. His parents were Gisli Gislason (1874–1946), a farmer and teacher, and Thora Sigurdardottir (1880–1956). He had seven siblings.

He worked in construction, but spent most of his career in fish processing in the Haraldur Boovarsson hf..

Gislason never married and never had children. He moved to Höfði nursing home around 2014.

He became the oldest living man in Iceland, following the death of Stefan Thorleifsson on 14 March 2021.

Three of his siblings reached old ages: his sister Kristin (19 June 1921 – 7 August 2021), his brother Thordur died at 97 (1914–2012), and his sister Elisa at the age of 96 (1917–2013).
