Solveig Margrethe Levin (29 December 1914 – 24 December 2023) was a Norwegian centenarian who was the third-oldest known living woman in Norway (after Lina Anundsen and Margit Larsen), and the fourth-oldest known living person in Norway (after Vidar Eide, Anundsen, and Larsen).
Biography[]
Solveig Levin was born in Oslo, Norway on 29 December 1914. Solveig Levin married the famous Norwegian pianist Robert Levin (1912–1996) in 1938. Their daughters are journalist and writer Mona Levin (aged 84 in 2023) and music pedagogue Sidsel Levin (aged 79 in 2023), who for many years was the director of the Jewish Museum in Oslo in Norway.
In December 2014, she celebrated her 100th birthday and became a centenarian.
Solveig Levin died in her sleep on 24 December 2023 at the age of 108 years, 360 days.
