Stelios Fragiadoulakis [Greek: Στέλιος Φραγκιαδουλάκης] (15 December 1912 – 15 March 2021) was a Greek centenarian, World War II veteran and oldest known living man in Greece at the time of his death.

Biography[]

Stelios Fragiadoulakis was born in Agia Paraskevi, Irakleio, Crete, Greece on 15 December 1912. He was the child of George and Maria Fragiadoulakis. He had two brothers, Aristeidis and Giannis. At the age of 28 years old he was been called to arms and he participated in the 1940-1941 Greco-Italian War as member of the 5th Cretan Division. In the early June 1941 he finally achieved to return in his village.

He had four children, 12 grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. He lost his wife in 1985. He passed his last 12/13 years in a care home in Irakleio, Crete, Greece. Stelios became the oldest known living man in Greece, following the death of 107-year-old Giannis Papadimitriou on 25 December 2019.

Fragiadoulakis died on 15 March 2021 at the age of 108 years, 91 days. Following his death, then 107-year-old Thomas Katsanos became the oldest known living man in Greece.
